After many attempts finally got the game working, the Ubisoft support page had a fix to select off on the interface hold alternative and that worked.Right now I'm in the tutorial section looking for his unit. It's a bit buggy and the character has the feel of being on an ps instead of pc, clunky. I'm a bit surprised by that cause Odyssey's character had a more natural flow and feel. It could be I need to fix some key bindings. World is beautiful and that intro story was well done, took me right in. Chose the male warrior and so far without any skill points is fun.

So is anyone playing Valhalla? I am enjoying so far, finally got to England and am glad to be out of Norway, it's a bit like The Hinterlands. Gameplay and combat is different to Odyssey and the games graphics aren't as crisp and of the same quality. After 20 hours i am still trying to "Get Guud" at combat and am trying to use the abilities more as I have just pretty much being going Viking with my two handed axes. Noway was great but was glad to move on from the Ice and Snow and those bloody huge mountains. See you Norway Hello England

Beautiful pictures dazk, I'm still in the first area, feels similar to the Hissing Wastes, long stretches with nothing then bumping into a nice quest, combat or scenery. Exploring a bit, came across a man who asked Eivor to throw several crates with his personal items off a cliff . A sad mini quest. Almost got killed by a polar bear, so busy looking around didn't see or hear him at all - lol. Liking the story so far, and melee is pretty fun. Clever what they did with the markers in sky, easy to see with all the hills. Dazk, are you playing stealth and bow?

Game is patched now and my character is unstuck from Sigrid Thank you Ubisoft for fixing it so quickly! Went raiding twice and was able to upgrade the blacksmith and helped a man who wanted to get himself killed - lol. Luckily already raided the bandit camp so when we got there it was empty and he collapsed and lived, silly man. Off to raid some more and make an alliance.

I'm at 35 power, too low to raid right now. Helped to put a puppet on a throne. Celebrated back home. Now exploring for a bit on the long boat, trying to get fast points and looking for monasteries to raid. Combat is a bit wonky and not quite as fun as Odyssey yet. Hoping that improves.

Do you know the "Feast" thing ringing the bell gives you a morale boost that boosts your stats? The places you build in the settlement give you a particular stat boost like 3.0+ Melee damage and ringing the feast bell adds those to your stats for 4 hours. I am at level 40++++++++++++++++++++++ Don't worry you will power up pretty quickly the game is generous with skill points. Try and find a balance of clearing mystery's and pushing the story forward to power up and FYI there is a limited amour of the "Raw Materials" which you get from Raids and some story quests. So hence try and balance doing story with mysteries and wealth icons, I got too hung up on building the settlement and raiding and it became a grind. Currently using Excalibur which you get buy collecting Tablets of Britain I think they are called. The quests to get them are under Mystery icons in each area, usually slightly puzzley cave adventures but three are on Zealots. And also using Gungnir which is Odin's spear both are great but shame you get them so late in the game.

Found using the longboat and roaming there are more monasteries I'm able to pillage. Working on Soma's quest now. Came across a cat, picked him up, so cute. Beautiful pictures, love the Excalibur one!

Glad to help out. Are you talking about the Raider cat you can get for the boat? There's a quest where you will talk to a little girl then have to chase after a cat and you get to keep it and it lives on your boat. You'll pick up a a few other animals for the settlement doing quests. Thanks re the pic's.

She has a house full of cats!
Tried to take a picture but for some reason can't get the frap to work.
Definitely will look for the girl and her quest, Eivor needs a cat!

That's such a trip dazk , ! Damn posted the wrong image (the first one), so how it works you can recruit anyone else's Jomsviking or a friends Jomsviking. In towns and other places you'll find a barracks marked by a Helmet symbol and there will always be a Jomsviking there you can talk to and if you want recruit them to be in your crew. If you want them in your crew you speak to the woman at your barracks and ask to reorganise the crew. New recruits are at the bottom you need to scroll down and you can then assign them to the crew. You may even find some other BSN people. Here is the right image

They did a nice job with the small quests. Did one today at an old fort or castle, follow the glowing page across an obstacle course on top of the walls to find your reward. Fun and clever. Saved a fox from a burning house and sent him back home. Helped some kids save a wolf back at the home base.
The anomaly jumping puzzles are fun too.

I am hopeless at the anomaly things did about three and then stopped as they got too hard. Dandelion Puff is funny and runs around the settlement, unfortunately the wolf (Chewy was my choice) disappears after a while, haven't seen him in ages.
