Alright, this is a thread where you talk about the little things in life that make your days easier. So I have an hp camera scanner app because recently I've been taking on the task of transferring my entire music library to a tablet. That's great but most of my music books won't fit into my PC's scanner. That's when I just pull out my phone and snap a picture. It also ends up enhancing the pdf file really well too. This also leads me to appreciating tablets and E-readers etc. and being able to carry my entire library around with me. I used to say that I preferred tangible books (I still do) and swore I'd never get an E-reader or tablet...Now I use a tablet for most books and only buy physical copies when they're really special to me. Glow in the dark nail polish. I don't wear it but I color code all my keys with it it so I never have to fumble around looking for them, even at night.

Oh I love the e-readers! And also carry it with me everywhere I can.
Wow that glow in the dark nail polish on keys is excellent idea. Always mixing up my keys. Have a tiny light clipped on to my purse and been using that- lol

Ereaders certainly help with book clutter. And Amazon has some good deals. MAybe TOO good given how many I've bought...
I also like the fitness tracker on my smartphone. It lets me keep track of how much I eat, and it's synced to my fitbit so I can keep track of steps. I've lost a LOT of weight in the last year and a half, and I want to keep it off. This is proving effective and less expensive than Weight Watchers.

E-Books certainly have made my life easier. Haven't read more than a few physical books since 2013 (excluding nu-uni books) and after I learned about easier ways to read digital ones.
Not sure what's wrong with my eyes but I change my monitor's brightness from 0-20 (from 0/100) on a daily basis. I get pain (and sometimes tears) in my eyes if I look at brightness 20 white color pages. I've been using gray backgrounds and extensions in the last few years.

Do you read on an LCD screen (like on a tablet) or an E Ink screen on a dedicated reader?

LCD screens (monitor and since 2018 my new cellphone). I had an inc-y one made by Amazon since late 2000s but it really needed extra light to read... too dark most of the day, so I preferred my monitor but with low brightness and gray-ish background (in PDFs for example).

Yeah, LCD's can cause more eye strain than E-Ink displays. Something about how the light from the screen is emitted. My own kindle has a brightness setting for the screen.
