I guess Obsidian and InXile was acquired by Microsoft. Didn't they mismanage Lionhead? I hope it works out, because I really enjoy the pillars series.

Generally speaking I'm not too fond of it when smaller studios and software vendors get taken over by large companies. It seems they often go in a direction that I'm not in favor of. No matter how the ones being bought out try to sugar coat it, they usually lose their independence and identity with some of the talent that made them what they are ending up leaving and going elsewhere. Obsidian has been one of the best RPG studios for years. I hope for the best, but I don't expect it.

They used to participate in making good Strategy games a long time ago as publisher. Also Age of Empires IV likely will be released in 2019/20. But not sure about RPG.
