Playing on Death March with enemy scaling on. It's actually really hard so far. Every main quest is well above me, but grinding is difficult here. Also, all the animals are god tier. It takes 5 axe hits to kill a bloody rabbit. Haven't played in that mode, do the rabbits fight back?

SO I've been playing this.
Is every third man in Novigrad voiced by Blackwall?

It's been a little while since I played. I recall hearing some of the same voices in the world but nothing has stuck with me. I'm not familiar with many of the names but I would probably recognize Blackwall if I heard him.

Okay, sort of a lore question for those fmailiar with the books and the game.
Geralt's bard friend is called "Dandelion" but I recall from the Netflix series he was called Jaskier, which as I understand it, is Polish for "Buttercup"
So, why the name change? Error in translation? I mean, if they didn't think Buttercup was a masculine enough name for a guy, I gotta say Dandelion isn't much of an improvement...

The wiki says it was because Buttercup was too feminine, but honestly when I hear Buttercup I think of a horse. His full proper name is, Julian Alfred Pankratz, Viscount de Lettenhove...just calling him Julian would have been fine.

novatrex The show has it's problems with the pacing, cgi, some bad casting choices and decisions with the story that are flat out wrong when compared with the books. However despite all that, the show also has its good points and I still found it enjoyable. I do think that when it comes to the main cast, their acting is pretty solid and a lot of the fight scenes are well choreographed etc. I do feel that most new shows have rocky beginnings and I hope the writers will take the constructive criticism to improve on season 2.

This pretty sums up my feelings. Sundance that was my feelings too but I gave in and got the free trial and watched it in a couple of days. Trial ends in 3 days and will then be stopped unless my son agrees to pay for it as he has been binging shows.

At the very least the Dick Army armor will be gone next season and replaced with Nilfgaardians. I hold out hope that they just retcon their concept of magic from the first season as druid practices and to please actually focus more heavily on Geralt than Yenn.

Okay, so I'm in Skellige and outleveling the quests. But also realizing just how much Swallow I need to brew the high-end potions.
You could say I'm literally taking Witcher contracts for booze money...

I think it's called enemy upscaling if I'm not mistaken.

They probably don't care much for sorceresses in general since they have a habit of deception and manipulating others for their own gain in that series.
