Okay, coming up on the halfway pint of season 2, and I'm trying to wrap my mind around what is known about titans: {https://i.imgur.com/AXqOMrX.png}Most seem to be mindless devourers of human flesh. Basically rally big zombies. A few are "abnormals" which behave oddly, but are still basically mindless.
Eren, it was assumed, got his ability to assume a titan form by some experiment performed by his father.
But Annie, and now Reiner, Berthold, and Ymir have this ability too. So this process is clearly not unique.
And when a bunch of titans appeared on the inside of Wall Rose (with no sign of a breach), we also learned that Conny's entire hometown vanished. No blood, no bodies, just a bunch of smashed buildings, plus a titan that reminded Conny of his mother.
So, the hints here are that the titans are actually the townsfolk. So, somehow they became titans accidentally? Spontaneously? But they appear to be mindless, not intelligent like Eren, the Female Titan, etc.
So there seem to be at least two types of titans: Intelligent and unintelligent. And even the intelligent ones seem to have factions, since Bertholt/Reiner and Ymir seem to have different goals and priorities. And the normal, dumb titans seem just as happy to eat them as ordinary humans. There might be a third type, the ones inside Wall Rose, that might be from Conny's village, that can move about at night. But they seem no different from standard dumb titans otherwise.
And all titans, smart or dumb, seem to have the same weak spot of the nape of the neck. Where the human is for the smart ones.
So, perhaps ALL titans started out human? And something can trigger a transformation, something that must be rare, or this would be a more common event within the walls, but mundane enough that an entire village can go titan at once accidentally? But unless some extra steps are taken, they go all Giant Cannibal? And there are at least two societies that know this and take steps to make sure it doesn't happen.
Hmm, and how does the Beast Titan fit into this? Bertholt and Reiner are in awe of him. And Historia/Krista, who Ymir is intensely protective of (Historia also looks enough like Armin that they could be siblings.Coincidence or artistic fluke?) Ah, I can't wait till you get to season 3. Everything you think will be flipped on its head.

Finished the first half of season 3. Motto: "The sins of the fathers are revisited on the children" A lot of questions were answered, but a couple still remain: {https://i.imgur.com/AXqOMrX.png}Okay, we know that a dumb titan that consumes the spinal fluid of a smart titan (or the human form of it) becomes smart and gains their abilities. But that still doesn't explain where the smart titans came from. Plus this method isn't something that fosters population growth.
We also know there's some sort of chemical that crates titans, but no idea where it came from or how Conny's village ended up consuming it (assuming that's what happened to them)
I'm also unclear as to when the Reis family was deposed by the council and a pretender installed. Or why the Reis family allowed it to happen given they had the Founding Titan and memory-altering capabilities. Some observations: {https://i.imgur.com/AXqOMrX.png}Hanje is a very strange character. She seems to go from cold and calculating to screaming fits and swearing within a single conversation. She swings wildly from strategist to mad scientist to titan-slayer. She's almost manic in her displays.
This whole Ackerman ability thing seems to explain Mikasa and Levi's near-inhuman fighting skills. I wonder how they are related, exactly?
It seemed kinda odd that Rod Reis just happened to have a bottle labeled "armor" lying around for Eren to find, drink, and PRESTO! gain a new ability!
Also: {https://i.imgur.com/AXqOMrX.png} Wait, is Eren's father the Beast Titan!? It sure looked like him!
This leads me to suspect that no, Grisha did not (directly) kill Frieda, but injected Eren, who killed and ate her in his mindless titan form. Thus how he gained the powers of the Founding Titan. Unless I'm mistaken, in which case Grisha injected him, allowed Eren to eat him to gain those powers. That's dark af, but then both options are.

Those questions will be answered or at the very least clarified. The outro very subtly explains some of it. This second half will move at a faster pace.I'm assuming {https://i.imgur.com/AXqOMrX.png}Uncle Kenny arrived and brought the action already? The Reis family is full of secrets still yet to be revealed. Hanje is one of my favorites. She's primarily a mad scientist but is very loyal and has a strong sense of morality and feels the need to protect her soldiers. She was probably the MVP of part 2. Ackerman's are the MVP's of part 1. Whenever things get brutal, they never disappoint. Can't wait for season 4. Rod Reis is the Joe Biden of the Reis family. It's even darker and more tragic.

Yeah, Kenny's been and gone, revealing he had pocketed a dose of the titan serum. And confirming he was Levi's uncle with his dying breath.
I'm three episodes into season 3.5, and the whole thing has been essentially one long battle. And it's not over yet. I'm thinking Mikasa is my favorite character. Of the main protagonists, she seems to be most centered.

Finished season 3. Those last couple of episodes certainly explained things. Heck the whole setting makes a lot more sense. now. Such as where Ymir came from. And I can see why the Historia arc was so important now, for example. Is the next season really the last? It seems like the story is just starting to take off! Couple of things I'm curious about: {https://i.imgur.com/AXqOMrX.png}Eren currently has both the Attack Titan and the Founding Titan. Makes me wonder what would happen if someone were to "reassemble" all nine of them?
Still don't know why Conny's village all seemed to go titan at once. Or why those titans could move around in the dark.
Eren seemed to think he could only access the Founding Titan's power when he was in contact with a titan of royal blood. But when he touched Historia's hand during the medal ceremony, he saw his father's confrontation with Frieda. This makes me wonder if he really needs a titan or just someone of royal blood?
Nine titans: Founding Attack Colossal Armored Female Beast The Quadruped Ymir's titan ???
There's one more to be revealed.

I highly doubt next is the last season, there's so much left to tell and the manga hasn't finished yet either. Human Buzzsaw Levi was probably the coolest and most badass thing in the series thus far. That guy eats titans for breakfast with the greatest of ease sometimes. {https://i.imgur.com/AXqOMrX.png} Conny's village was titanized by Zeke and the Cart titan. They were injected forcibly or manipulated. The titans moving around in the dark has yet to be fully explained other than they are anomalies.
He just needs to be near or touch someone of royal blood. Speaking of, did you catch the identity of the Smiling Titan that ate his mom? Disturbing. The Erwin/Armin episode was also very well done. Mikasa's actress was brilliant. Haven't seen it in English dub yet. Don't know if I can at this point lol.
That titan should be revealed and as has been hinted toward, there will be war. Hopefully there's more lore exposition on the goddess Ymir that gave the titan power to the Eldians and that question of what happens when one person acquires all titans might be answered in the following season. You'll be even more surprised at what will be going down, however there are subtle hints.

You'll be even more surprised at what will be going down, however there are subtle hints. Yeah Levi's cool. But I suspect Mikasa will eventually surpass him once she gets a bit more experience. Okay I guess it makes sense that Zeke was behind what happened. The Beast Titan seems to be able to control them somehow. Yeah, that's what I figured with Eren. But he seemed to be convinced that if his power ever came out, the Powers That Be would force Historia into becoming a titan. I wasn't so sure that's a requirement. And yeah, I caught that. I guess her final words to Grisha kinda came true, that she'd find him... I've been watching the English dub for 2nd and 3rd seasons. It's good. But Levi is a bit distracting, because his English VA is Matthew Mercer, and I keep hearing him as Eder from Pillars of Eternity.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. The Marley arc has a lot of important moments and a few twists in addition to the last two titans to be revealed. I believe the manga is done now or it will be very soon.

Has anyone tried Blood of Zeus on Netflix?

Well, so far it's following typical Greek mythology in that most of the problems are because Zeus can't keep it in his pants and Hera keeps taking her anger out on the kid rather than Zeus himself...
