I like that the series will take place well before the movies so there won't be so much of a comparison with the movies, hope not anyway. Interested in seeing it. ___________ Been watching the Widow with Kate Beckinsale and Alex Kingston, it's slow moving but well acted and written, which makes me want to know what happened to her husband.

It's going to be interesting if the new LOTR mmo will coincide with this show's release. This show could be amazing or a huge disaster, tbh I'm going to keep my hopes and expectations low so I'm not too disappointed later.

True Detective season3 made the second season good by comparison. It wasn't bad just boring and disinteresting. Shame, as I like both leads. On the flipside, American Gods has come back on Starz. Still as trippy as ever and retains some of Fuller's odd and overstylized cinematography.

I suppose I'm pretty late when it comes to this show but I've been watching it on amazon and loving it, I'm on season 3 and so far it hasn't missed a beat. Boyd Crowder/Walton Goggins steals the show with his top notch acting.

Speaking of Timothy Olyphant being a gunslinging lawman, here's the teaser for the Deadwood film.
Get ready cocksuckers!

I'm probably the only one who cares but this show is amazing and I've been waiting for this more than GOT.

What's the premise aside from the obvious themes of Apocalypse and time-travel. Yeah, I watched the first season but it’s been a while so I’m going to be re-watching it soon. With all the time travel, you really need to watch it more than once to let the connections sink in....for me at least. Dark starts off with the local police investigating the disappearances of some children in a small German town. With each episode we see the impact the disappearances have on the people living there with police officer Ulrich at the center. We also get a glimpse at the various dirty dealings and shady secrets of the different characters, their connections to each other and the town itself. Meanwhile a teenager named Jonas gets caught up in this whole mystery while dealing with some personal family trauma that has to do with his father. Because of the "detectives search for missing kids" angle and some 80’s nostalgia, people often compare it to stranger things. I enjoy Stranger things but aside from those small superficial details, the plots are quite different and I find Dark more mature. The show can be a bit of a slow burn for some, I thought so too with the first couple of episodes but eventually I was hooked.

1998-2002 war series. A tale of a young talented man, his unfortunate friends, the bully, blighty boys and the Frenchies... on the sea! Enjoy!

An excellent series, I just finished re-watching Mutiny and Retribution earlier today.
Would also recommend:
The Fall of Eagles (1974) Reilly: Ace of Spies (1983) I, Claudius (1976) Cadfael (1994 - 1996) Elizabeth R (1971) House of Cards (British Version 1990)

So I've been watching Lucifer and to be honest I probably shouldn't like it as much as I do. I really hate those cheesy police shows where the guilty always confess their crimes at the end . However despite it's silliness I still find it humorous and kind of fun....that and I now shamelessly think Tom Ellis is the embodiment of physical perfection lmao. unf Judge away. I'm on the second season but I've heard the third season is pure shit before getting good again with the fourth. I've also just started the expanse after hearing so many good things about it. I finally watched the first episode and it seems interesting so far, so I'll see where that takes me.

But the books are better. That's not surprising, one of the few adaptations that I enjoyed over the original was The Shawshank redemption but that's pretty rare for me. I'll probably end up reading this series eventually.
