Trish as a black woman in the Witchers.. I didn't even regonize her, thought she was ginger! Insults me, in rl i have aburn hair whilest my ma has ginger hair and blue eyes. Why are gingers in Hollywood so poorly treated? We be only 2% of the population afterall! Of all the characters to change to meet a quota they choose Triss!!!!!!! So many otherwes it wouldn't have made a difference but the iconic red head gets changed, really not impressed and not to mention Triss is meant to be very young and she isn't portrayed that way either. We gingers are gunna die someday and Hollywood's not gonna give two shits about it me feels.

So I guess the Netflix series got it wrong in two parts!

Do the books, (I read The Last Wish ages ago) also imply she is very young for such a powerful mage I can't remember but I am pretty sure in the game they do?

Yeah I remember the books described her as one of the youngest as well as having blue eyes with her auburn hair. As for the games, I don't ever remember her youth being mentioned up but it's possible I forgot. And even though the games are not 100% right at least Triss looks very pretty and sufficiently youthful. I have no hate for the Netflix actress but their pick was way off, I thought the actress was in her 40's. :/ EDIT: lol fixed because I read the question wrong.

Agree I have no problem with the actress but it was just so jarring to see how they'd portrayed Triss, any other character it probably would have gone un-noticed or commented on.

Watching the Netlfix series Marco Polo. It's quite good so far. Wonder why it was canceled. Taken from us too soon. I greatly enjoyed it by episode 4 and was hooked in season 2. My latest series watched is Jojo Part 4: Diamond Is Unbreakable. Overall I would say it's got a lot of great moments and a decent cast of characters. Kira is close to my favorite villain of the entire series/manga and the music is very good as per usual. I like that Morioh is such a weird place and that the protagonists are well rounded though I couldn't stand some of them. Rohan was cool for being more independent from Josuke (who I find to be the lamest post Jonathan Jojo) and typically involved in many of the more entertaining moments. I also loved Reverb Act 3 for the pure hilarity of "S.H.I.T." Like many of the parts however, it does suffer a bit from villain of the week syndrome and at times felt directionless, especially before Yoshikage shows up. Kira really carries the show whenever he's on screen, he's such a weird bastard who comes across as quite unsettling with how casual he is and how dangerous his stand can be. Awaiting part 6 but more excited for Steel Ball Run.

It was supposed to end at 5. But then it got two more seasons at the last minute. The final season was arguably its best. Everything just clicked.

I've been watching the first season of Cobra Kai on Netflix.
It's actually pretty good.
Kinda scary to realize that when the series started, Ralph Macchio was 5 years older than Pat Morita was when he started playing Mr Miyagi!

I've been watching Yellowstone and I'm just on season two. Now while the show can be over the top and soap opera -ish (especially just for some cattle ranchers ), I've still been enjoying it. Keeping that in mind, if the flair for dramatics drives you up the wall, then the show might not be for you. I do think a part of me still wishes it was a bit more realistic. EDIT: blegh, had to fix the video >.< It mainly caught my interest due to Kevin Costner but majority of the cast has been pulling off some pretty good acting imo. I'm especially loving the actress that plays Beth, downright viscous but she's been fun to watch. Costner's right hand man Rip is also another favorite of mine, kind of the rough and not a particularly good person but has an endearing soft spot. To be fair all of the people on the show are downright horrible, with the exception of one or two characters, but still a really dysfunctional family lmao. I also enjoyed watching the Montana scenery where the Ranch was filmed but the rest was filmed in Utah.

The argument that movie is against sexualizing children and the negative effects of pornography on young girls makes no sense, It's like if they made a movie while actually abusing animals and then said "oh it's OK because it's a commentary against animal abuse!" There were so many other productive ways they could've got their point across. When listening to reviews, people have also said that the camera was always zooming in on their ass, anyone remember Miranda's ass shot in ME2? yeah like that apparently. The intent doesn't even matter at this point, (although we know they're not being honest about the intent either)

I'd say (made up numbers) 90% of people temporarily change their diet but eventually resume eating meat. I can't imagine Cuties being any different. Horror, condemnation and then business as usual. Shock rarely changes people long-term. I don't know the answer here but sexualizing children in the name of not sexualizing children can't be any good. Instead, I'd suggest it was an attempt to exploit children. It's like pedos on Twitter claiming they can't help their feelings but would never act on it. They also rebrand themselves - there's a term but I forget it. Once you get used to hearing about it, and maybe feel bad for these poor people, you're on the road to accepting it. No exploitation of children is acceptable. Consent is not possible, and I believe that's even true of child beauty pageants - it tends to be parents behind it all.

Bolded- I think the term you're thinking of is MAPS which stands for minor attracted persons... EDIT: Since I was kind of derailing the thread which I'd rather not do, I've been watching the boys season 2 but didn't get too far because I wanted to let the episodes build up a bit. I've been pretty irritated about the once a week on setup and I feel like this particular series flows better when you binge watch it. I don't like that I'm paying for Prime for this weekly bull. >.<
