@dustyelf have you finished the story yet? Not yet. Finished the quest where Sigurd takes Eivor back to Norway. Not sure what's going on with the girl stuck on the machine and Baslim in the animus. He's a bad guy, I knew it! Still need to finish the Asgard and Gorim (?) quests and a lot of small collection and world events. Have you finished? That's Layla stuck on the tree and now she is with Desmond who is an earlier Modern Day Protagonist looking at all the various possible future time permutations. You should probably have finished Asgard and Jottenheim before going with Sigurd back to Norway and doing that as it would have made more sense. Have you done all the anomalies? That also helps understand the over arching Isu/Modenr Day stuff. So you haven't figured out who Basim is? I finished ages ago, just been doing challenges and accumulating resources

I finished ages ago, just been doing challenges and accumulating resources Killed Gorm and now working on finishing Asgard and at the end boss battle. No, haven't figured out who Basim is yet but he's up to no good, I knew that from when he first joined and how he remained close to Sigurd. Did you find the kitty world event in one of the cities? Eivor asked the kitty to join him . So cute!

Do Jotenheim as well before finishing the main story. Yep found the kitty if you mean the one that is on your long ship.
Did you rescue Dandelion Puff yet?

Aw such a cute name, don't think I've come across the kitty yet. It's a funny little mystery and you have to rescue an animal from a burning house but it's not a kitty. Here's the location

dazk, finished the game! A lot of fun. Came to like a lot of the characters in the game, well done. Purely cosmetic but would love to be able to change Eivor's appearance more than what we were given. And like the Odyssey would like more prompts for finishing special skills, kept forgetting which buttons for them. Off to do the river raiding and collectibles.

So now that you have finished did you figure out the Isu side of things and who the characters in the main game in terms or the Isu world? Did you finish the Anomalies and get the video? I assume you know who Basim is, have you gotten out of the Animus yet? Also when you get out of the Animus make sure to go sit on the bench near the fire outside, be patient and you'll get a surprise. Did I share the link to the videos that explains all the Isu/mythology stuff? I think there are 7 it's on You Tube on a channel called Access The Animus This is the first one

Been River Raiding it's OK.
Tip stop your long ship near the dock but don't hit the raid button and solo the forts etc. to clear the guards and get what loot you can then.
This will stop your Jomsvikings getting injured or killed and it makes it easier IMO. Then once you have cleared what you can except the stuff where you need them to help blow your horn and they will come help you open the doors etc.

Like that you can leave the raiding anytime.

I just wrote a whole long post about what is happening re Basim eetc. but accidentally deleted. If you want to bypass the Anomalies just watch a You Tube video of the video you get once you complete all of them. Then watch the video I posted above and the subsequent ones (six of them, seven in total) to get a full understanding of what happened and what the audio messages you get are about when doing the Anomalies. Really simply and very brief major SPOILER Basim is Loki Longer more detailed SPOILER If you have done Asgard and Jotenheim you should know that Havi/Odin is looking for away to survive Ragnarok/The Solar Flare that is going to wipe out The Isu. There are several methods to try and do this but they all fail except the Seventh Method which Odin uses to store his and other Isu like Thor/Tyr and Freya genes into human babies they are passed n to future generations of humans who will survive the Solar Flare. They also store their souls and memories in the Tree of Life Ygdrasil which I believe is accessed by The Staff of Hermes. So when Layla who is the keeper of memories is spiked on the tree Basim is released and picks up the staff and essentially has Loki's memories etc restored into a genetic descendent of himself Basim and becomes real live Loki reborn.

But watching the guides on youtube Layla is walking through the puzzle and I can hear her talking with her team. There has got to be a sequel dlc coming!

So can you pick who in the settlement is Freya's descendant and who is Tyr's based on the Asgard and Jottenheim DLC and which character is Thor's descendant? {https://i.imgur.com/AXqOMrX.png} Valka is Svala's (The Seer in Norways) daughter and is the descendant of Freya, Sigurd is Tyr's descendant note he also lost an arm like Tyr did to Fenrir and they are voiced by the same VA and Thor's descendant is Halfdan Ragnarsson, note he wields a hammer and like Thor as they are voiced by the same VA.

Ah! Didn't catch that about the voices. Noticed that Tyr lost the same arm as Sigurd but didn't make the connection.
Working on the anomalies and they are hard. Not playing Layla is making it more hard. lol Good video you posted, explained alot.

Thanks, if you have the time watch the others as well they are very interesting if you are interested in the Isu stuff and it's influence on the game. The whole Loki issue raises some interesting possibilities for the game and future games.

Layla must be freed from the tree and Loki vanquished. Argh! Found the anomaly with he rotating circular bars Some of them are too difficult! lol
The only other Assassins Creed I've played was Odyssey so not sure about the whole story. Bought Black Flag and will start playing it soon

The only other Assassins Creed I've played was Odyssey so not sure about the whole story. Bought Black Flag and will start playing it soon I don't think there is a way back for Layla and I am certainly happy for her to be gone for honest. The person she ends up talking to at the tree reading all the future possibilities Desmond the original modern day protagonist if you didn't know. He was a great character and there was absolute uproar when he died in AC3. Sean and Rebecca at the cabin were his support crew and the William Miles that gets mentioned by them is Desmond's dad who was the head of their Assassins group. I really liked AC3 as well and that may be a better place to start if you haven't played it already. There is a lot of tie in with AC Black Flag and whilst Connor isn't the most loved AC protagonist (he's moody and grumpy but for good reason) he is one of my favourites and I love the whole Native American part of the game. In fact The Vintland part of Valhalla is a shout back to AC3 and the magic ISU ball that Eivor gives the Native Americans is significant in AC3. The only thing is it is a bit hard to go back to the controls of AC 3 and there are QTE's for some parts of the game, that said though it has a great settlement you build. Let me know when you start and I will reinstall it, there used to be ways other players can help each other via chat in game and a mini game so if it's still there I should be able to help you out with your fleet and making money and finding animals etc for you.

Yeah an Isu named Minerva (IIRC) {https://i.imgur.com/AXqOMrX.png} asked him to put his hand on an Isu device sacrificing himself so that Minerva could free herself from the Temple (you see its door in Vintland) so she could escape into the Internet and also stop the modern day solar flare. And yes he has had his meories etc transferred into the tree, it was a nice/sad surprise in Valhalla as I didn't know that is what happened to him I just assumed he died. There are a whole lot of comics that dealt with Minerva escaping into the net and Desmonds fate may have been part of it but I haven't read them. This is Desmond about to touch/activate the device to stop the solar flare

Came across a man who retired from being a warrior, lovely world event.
