I may have to get the Disney steaming service just because I have a number of nieces and nephews that are over a lot.
But I hope Netflix weathers this storm

$6.99 is a low price, don't trust that figure. Agree Netflix has some good original programs, don't think Disney can compete there. And don't trust Disney to not censor out content from their offerings or putting in advertisements down the road, know they didn't say that but the article did say they own NBC and ESPN and they don't do that great a job with those.

Disney apparently also owns Hulu but is choosing to have two platforms and have different content on each. As you said, don't trust them. They could have gone with the one platform but instead are trying to get people to buy both. Remember when Disney was about family fun? Walt Disney is almost certainly rolling in his grave.

There are flaws that are never touched on but overall I like it.

I think it would've been a mistake if they used cgi so I really appreciate that they're keeping the puppets and animatronics. There are flaws that are never touched on but overall I like it. The brother and sister really annoyed me at first but I still liked the first season. I haven't got around to the second but it looks like it's taken a pretty different turn, almost like they've given rasmus super powers now. Anyway, I love this teaser....

I just finished the second season and I must say that I'm pretty damn impressed that it hasn't lost the plot at all, it even gets more intricate as it continues on and it's probably one of the best sci-fi time travel series I've watched. Remembering all of the dense "family" connections can melt the brain if you're not paying attention, but it's worth it. There's only going to be three seasons altogether but I think that's a good thing, they've obviously done a lot of planning and it's all falling into place nicely. I'll miss the series when it's finally over.

Let me know what you think when you've finished. I'm afraid to say much at all because I don't want to accidentally ruin something. Have you gotten to episode 8 or 9? there's a scene in one of those that's so brutally disturbing, I had to look away.

It's a good show, like the way they show you piece by piece and you have to puzzle it together.

There's very little on Netflix I care for anymore but Stranger Things will forever hold a special place in my heart. I've grown up in the late 80's-90's but there are so many things about this show that remind me of my childhood, hanging out with friends after school and riding around on our bikes. Other than that, there's Narcos and to a lesser extent, Castlevania.

Onecrazymonkey1, Finished the 1st season and watched the first episode of the second and holy shit what a series! Everyone seems connected in some way or another and most are not that nice. I keep forgetting his name, but regarding the boy having the dreams and investing the cave: feel so bad for him, knowing his fate. Wonder why he didn't take the chance to change the direction of time and try to stop it. That Noah guy ugh.

The one having the dreams in the beginning is Jonas and I think he had to be really careful because he could end up ceasing to exist considering who his father is. The show will also get into why no one really ends up changing anything with their actions in the second season but I don't want to blow it. Yeah most of them are really shady and young Jonas is probably the most innocent out of all of them, oh and Charlotte too. Ulrich was an ass in the beginning but I felt for him after his son disappeared and was starting to root for him, that was until he did what he did... The whole bootstrap paradox is a mind melt. Anyway I'm glad you enjoyed it, and you'll be in for some more surprises down the road. Some family trees get even more intricate

Been trying out The WItcher series.
I'd probably appreciate it more if I was familiar with the books. It was only yesterday when I realize that Ciri and Geralt's stories are being told in different time periods.

They should have put a time date for people to reference, it would have made the story clearer.

Haven't gotten around to The Witcher yet. Wasn't a huge fan of the games but I do like Henry Cavill.

Haven't gotten around to The Witcher yet. Wasn't a huge fan of the games but I do like Henry Cavill. Henry Cavill was born to play Geralt (once Mads Mikkelsen got too old). He's almost as witty as game Geralt and owns every scene he's in. Overall he show is decent but a lot of things are twisted horribly and/or just flat out wrong in regard to the lore. Mainly the use of magic and black magic.
