Pretty much the news I would expect given their recent releases.

How the fuck has this happened? It's like the company is incompetent to the core.

It usually runs downhill, so I would place blame starting at the top.

I find that generally in large companies the management bloat makes it hard to steer the ship effectively. Cliques form and bad managers stay in because of who they know, not because of what they accomplish. Frankly I won't be happy until I hear heads are rolling in upper management, they clearly are responsible for the under-performing quality trend of Bioware games.

Sundance, Now that is sad. That seems to be the way most of these games companies start out though. Full of big dreams and artistic ambitions only to eventually sell out the soul of the company in favor of the $$$.

Faceman, Interesting videos. Kind of feel bad for the people working at BioWare, they are having so many problems that are piling on and getting worse instead of better. BioWare had some of the best RPG's, games I still play years after release, it's a shame they couldn't focus on small rpgs with a strong story line.

Because of human nature, cliques, entrenchment, management problems are one of the toughest problems to fix.

The plebs (some 10-12 people who still play the game) have got a little fix update and are too happy about it, it seems... so optimistic about the future of Anthem with muh road map!!!

Don't have much hope for DA4 anymore. If DA4 turns out to be more like Anthem multiplayer and less like DAO, DA2,or DAI I won't be buying it. That's if DA4 comes out at all.
Oh and some of BioWare's developers hanging out a forum whose moderators preach inclusiveness, tolerance, and welcoming of different viewpoints yet don't practice it and have chased away any and all independent thought and people from their site doesn't give me much hope for any kind or realistic stories, characters and quests if the developers are taking feedback from that kind of a site.

The best thing BioWare could do right now is think long and hard about why they acheived their status. Both their former status as the best video game storytellers in the west, and their status as the biggest joke in the world of gaming today. Think of what brought them there in both cases and try not to worry too much about the identity of the gamers but rather the gamers themselves. Who are you making your games for? What is more important: who plays the games or that people play them at all? I've been seeing them do exactly what Zipper Interactive had been doing in their dying days (as hinted at in my Socom thread) and at this juncture only see them getting shut down within a year and broken up. They lost their soul (the Doctors, the great writers) and getting Casey back in charge can only help so much.

I wish another dev/publisher owned the ME franchise. I think there was and is potential to be had there, but I also think it has been in the wrong hands for a while now.
