Now the party is so suspicious of anyone they come across they don't realize they're holding one of their greatest allies at arm's length after he offered to help them!

Good news: The party managed to reconsecrate the church and saved the priest from being killed by vampires.
Bad news, in doing so, they let a half dozen other vampires run amok in town. Dozens died as a result.

Well, they kinda accidentally unleashed the vampires on the town through their own actions. Though truth be told, things would have been even worse if they hadn't done what they did (short version: the attack was coming anyway, they just sprang it early) I'm not certain what they will do next. we ended the session with them resting in the re-consecrated church. They were al rather beat up at this point. The vampires will be gone by the time they come out again, though they will likely see their leader at some point in the future. I suspect they will leave town t follow up on another clue they picked up. But doing that will have consequences as well...

In my current campaign, I've got a mysterious spirit being whispering in the ear of one of the players, trying to manipulate the party into giving him the power to free himself and wreak havok on the land. And they're falling for it hook, line, and sinker because it's always there with magical information they need. By sheer coincidence or not. I made him look kinda like Solas

I'm actually running a game for my group tonight.
They're busy gathering relics needed so they can have a chance at facing Count Strahd for reals without dying.
SO I guess it'll be a Barovian easter egg hunt!

SO in my game tonight, a spirit being who has been helping the party with arcane advice is going to reveal itself as having ulterior motives that, if it succeeds, will lead to the land's population being decimated (if you kill all the people, the vampire overlord will have nothing to feed on, and thus will starve, right?) He has sometimes appeared as a "bald elf with exaggerated features" I made a token to represent him: TOo much?

In a few weeks my group will be wrapping up Curse of Strahd. Should be interesting...

Heh, the paladin of the party is skeptical that Strahd can be killed at all. The party has only survived previous encounters with him because Strahd really couldn't be bothered to finish them off...

Well, thanks to coronavirus, the D&D game where I'm a player is moving online.
Thing is, our DM has never done online gaming before.
So he asked ME to run something as he and other players get acclimated.
I'm gonna be running two separate campaigns!
