Intel is introducing their own dedicated GPU in 2020. www.digitaltrends.com/computing/intel-dedicated-graphics-card-2020/This news is a couple months old but the first I've heard of it. It'll be interesting to see how the competition and products look in a few years. AMD has some catching up to do. Nvidia has been ahead of them in efficiency for several years. I'm not sure if they're still pulling away or not. I can see Intel giving Nvidia tougher competition in that department unless AMD makes more rapid advances.

Actually 1300$ and could have possibly got a cheaper CPU or something. Yet good for people who can't afford 2000-3000 $ for a new Intel PC.

Finally a card that can give a decent framerate for 4k gaming. Now, we just need the power to migrate to cheaper cards and the 4k/HDR monitors to get up to snuff to really enjoy this power.

I have a GTX 1070 in my gaming desktop (that my son is using right now) and yeah it's a very nice card. Also it ran cooler and drew less power than the GTX 780 it replaced.

‘Crypto Hangover’ Hammers Nvidia’s Outlook, Shares Drop 17 Percentwww.oann.com/nvidia-forecasts-current-quarter-revenue-below-estimates-shares-slump/I can't say that I'm bothered by lower demand bringing down GPU prices because of the drop in cryptocurrency mining. It was driving up the costs of some GPU's 200% it seemed at times. You'd have to time it right to get them at a reasonable cost depending on the card.

an edit to this
Yep you don't really want to get a super expensive or a cheap laptop. You can find pretty fast and well made laptops at $ 600-800 price range.
