Star Wars is its own phenomenon, so that's why I made this outside the "movies" thread. Anyway, despite whether folks like/dislike the Disney stuff (I'm mixed) we will always have the originals and that spirit of "A New Hope" - so I will be a life-long Star Wars fan. Anyway, this is for all things Star Wars, though I'll kick it off with a guy who's "restoring" the originals. Adywan. I have both his original Star Wars Revisited and Empire Strikes Back Revisited edits. Highly recommended. swrevisited.wordpress.com/about-revisited/swrevisited.wordpress.com/

As far as I'm concerned, Disney Wars is dead to me after what the Last Dumpster Fire did to Luke Skywalker. The only way they're getting me back is if JJ Abrams can either find a way to completely retcon Jake Skywalker from Episode VIII or if they bring back the old EU as an alternate continuity via an animated Heir to the Empire series.
Now that that's out of the way, here's an X-Wing tribute I came across:

A New Hope? Hah! More like "no hope".

Yeah Hamill goes back and forth, but we all know he's pissed.

He probably can't be as open as he'd like to be due to NDAs and ever wanting to work again...

I sympathise but TLJ effectively killed my fandom and passion for SW. In time I may come around to it again and I'll always love the sith/jedi and dark/light side dynamics as well as the sith designs over the years.

It's funny because a vast wilderness of novels and comics had little impact on Star Wars fandom. The worst I'd heard was people being sad over Chewbacca dying. That wasn't a complaint with the writing. People get sad when characters they're attached to die. Why wouldn't they when they're invested in a character? If Rey and/or Kylo were killed off I'd sigh in relief. I'm a fan of Poe and Finn so I would be sad if they died.

I feel like I should go back and read more of the EU Star Wars books and forget the travesty we have now.

Force Awakens wasn't terrible, not exactly original, but not terrible. Last Jedi was just a dumpster fire, there really isn't anyway to fix it aside from just asking everyone to pretend it didn't happen. I loved the OT and enjoyed the prequels more than most "hardcore" fans seem to. The Disney stuff though can go jump off a bridge far as I am concerned. I won't be bothering to see this one.

The four year old loves Jabba's laugh. I also got them the Golden Books of the original and prequel trilogies. I'm not gonna see this. Heck I haven't even bothered to watch Solo.

I haven't even bothered to watch Solo. Me neither. I did like Rogue One, thought that was pretty good.
