I put off the decision on whether to help take out Radovid or not for a little while. That's the only one I recall that I mulled over a little bit.

What was the toughest decision? I don't think TW3 had the same kind of tension TW2 had with the decisions. The decision to trust Cerys in the Possession side quest.

That man tasted steel. Kinda glad I was tagged, I really want to finish my newest playthrough. It's been too long since I've fired up Witcher 3.

What was the toughest decision? I don't think TW3 had the same kind of tension TW2 had with the decisions. For me? I had a hard time deciding to either free the spirit in the tree or help the Crones because I did grow fond of the Baron and while neither him or his wife were perfect, I wanted a happy ending for them. Unfortunately for them the lives of innocent children win out for me, but it was painful finding out what happened afterwards.

Yeah, this is a toughie, and I really don't trust that spirit in the tree either - plus we never find out what it is or what the long term effects are of releasing it.

Been playing TW3 a little lately and doing some secondary quests and contracts that I skipped over before. Does this game have a lot of dialog or is it just me? It's good that TW3 sold a ton of copies, because I know this game wasn't cheap to make. I'm pretty sure that I've never played a game with this much voiced dialog before.

No, didn't know there was an option for that. Thinking about it don't think I would turn it on, would have to spend more time killing the same wolves, bears, spiders and other low level enemies that I already killed dozens of times before. Best for me to keep those at their level and kill quickly and move on to other enemies. Ah and the sirens as much as I like using the crossbow, don't want to have them scale up with me - lol.

I'll do it in my next playthrough. Until you get to the expansions, the game is too easy. I like how TW2 dealt with difficulty.

I beat Witcher 3 on it's hardest difficulty level but I can't remember for the life of me if I turned on enemy upscaling, I don't even remember that being an option. Sometimes I think I have the CRS disease myself.

I probably would have been more likely to free the tree and save the orphans if I were meta-gaming, but meta-gaming ruins the experience imo. This is one of the areas where I think CDPR really outshines other studios like Bioware for example. With Bioware you learn that if you pick the idealistic or noble choices that it'll work out as intended. Things will fall into place the best way possible more or less on average. With CDPR it's not as predictable. I don't want to play through a RPG picking everything expecting it to all unfold a particular way. I want to go with what I think is best with that particular protagonist in that particular playthough, and let the chips fall where they may.

I've kept it on since my second playthrough. First time around I was mostly in it for the story and some sidequests and neglected parts of White Orchard, Novigrad, Skellige, and eastern Toussaint. Now I'm completing everything I can but in my NG+ I've reached max level, hence my third playthrough. Some enemies still feel weak though but those damn dogs around the Hanged Man's Tree gave me a rude awakening when I first arrived in Velen.

I found myself skipping through a lot of dialog because I had just finished a playthrough a month ago, so I think I'll hold off starting any other playthroughs for a little while. I might launch it every now and then and do some secondary quests and contracts though. There are so many of them. There's several places on the maps that I haven't traveled through yet.

FacemanI wonder how many more there are like that in the rest of the game. Probably several. The only one that I recall already knowing about is the crematorium. The reason I discovered it was by mistake. I was looking for a different merchant east of Oxenfurt and showed up there east of Novigrad instead.

Apparently there are a bit more, the guy has a video series on it beyond that one video.

Onecrazymonkey1 , slimgrin ,@dustyelf , Sundance , Onishiro , Laughing Man , Faceman , Kaiser Arian , Iakus and @anyone else I'm curious to hear any criticism you have about the game. Technically I think the audio could have been done a little better. They didn't do much in the way of implementing distance attenuation. You can't hardly tell if someone is 5ft away or 30ft away. It's more immersive to me when that's done more accurately. Some of the environmental effects were off the mark. There was too much or not enough reverb in a few spots I think I recall, but not a big deal. The obstruction and exclusion effects weren't done terribly well. Two people are talking in another room 10 ft away and they sound like they're inside a barrel up on a stage. It's not bad. It's just that CDPR have shown to put a lot of attention into the detail in their recent games, and I was hoping to get more from the audio. I probably got a couple of minor criticisms about some other aspects in the game, but can't really think of any at the moment.

I mean, I don't think the audio quirks bothered me, but that's probably because most games have them, so my expectations aren't that high. I also didn't like how they paced the romances, especially considering the 2 previous games. I'm short on time, so I'll get back and explain more, later.
