Finally watched Bill Burr's Paper Tiger special. It was great, not quite as consistent as Chappelle's to me but man that blow up doll and opening segment jokes were killing me. I really hope Ricky Gervais follows up then Netflix would be 3/3. Next up I'll probably finally start Carnival Row.

So have been re-watching The Expanse and am half way through series 3, man it's a good show. Been missing out on too much sleep cramming extra episodes in. Just watched the episode that my signature contains. love that scene.

Didn't care for the new Doctor Smith in the show, but overall I'm looking forward to the next season: Wouldn't mind watching the first one but I don't have Netflix. Is it worth buying ($25) on DVD?

Still, I like the new Robot. Looks like a geth. Geth-like, but clearly not related to Tom Servo... Hmmm...does this new robot flail around once in a while...for old times sake?

His flails are a bit more intimidating. Even when being helpful

I have a much better time with watching more movies than series. It's less likely that they disappoint / put woke narrative in movies than series with many episodes.

One thing I'll say about the new Lost in Space is they don't really put much woke stuff in it. I mean, yeah they race-changed Judy, but didn't make a big deal of it, just a couple of throwaway references that she's adopted. And the new "Doctor Smith" is a woman. but despite the fact that I don't care for her character, it's handled in a rather clever way: {https://i.imgur.com/AXqOMrX.png}
She's actually an escaped sociopathic criminal named June Harris, who stole her sister's identity to get aboard a colony ship, then assumed the identity of an injured Doctor Smith (played by Bill Mumy no less!) during the events that marooned the ship survivors.

Just finished Peaky Blinders Series 5. I must say I am disappointed with many of the creative decisions made this season but most of that was offset by something awesome that's revealed near the end. Some actors feel wasted while others get their characters turned stupid to say the least. Thomas as Mr. Know It All was really starting to get old as was the repeated use of "slow motion walk to out of period rock music." There are some modern undertones to the story as well (Thomas is now posing/helping socialists while also fighting fascists-- hooray!) that annoy slightly. It's not on the nose but things like that are hard to ignore. Arthur as usual got his moment to exercise his mad lad muscle but man does he seem to be getting a bit emasculated. Overall, 6/10. Not bad but the series felt too different while also leaving me with a feeling of "that's it?" Still a great show that I highly recommend.
Just started watching Wu Assassins, starring Iko Uwais, Mark Decascos (!), Tommy Flanagan, Byron Mann, and Lewis Tann with a cameo from former Youtuber Peter Chao. So far I like it though its got some weird awkward scenes in the vein of the Chinese Monkey King TV show. Good action choreography given those involved.

Much better than the last trailer but I'm still not a fan of the trash bag armor and I never will be. I'm warming up to the Yen pick though, I like that they actually gave her her signature violet eyes. GOT always bothered me not making Daenery's eyes violet but that was the least of that show's problems.
