One of the best Shaw brothers movies. Very interesting characters, engaging story 9/10

I'm not sure what I think about that.

I'm not sure what I think about that. When I watched it I just saw 1984 and thought it was a trailer from ages ago and didn't realise it was a sequel. Having not seen the first one it made little sense to me.

I think Free Guy is going to bomb. RR isn't playing to his strengths in those trailers. Steven Ogg played a sort of mirrored version in a Youtube short based around GTAV irl. It was great and Ogg was entertaining. This just looks by the numbers and somewhat bland.

Watched the fun movie,6 Underground. Reminded me a bit of Oceans 11 and a Tarantino movie. Is it me or does Ryan Reynolds look a lot like Ryan Gosling?

Well I thought this should be posted here, I rarely look forward to movies but it looks pretty good, although trailer's can be deceiving at times. Timothée Chalamet seems to be a pretty good actor and he also looks ridiculously young to me which is fitting because I remember Paul Atreides being about 15 years old.

Really looking forward to this, not sure whether to read the book again or not!!!! I'm pretty sure I'll be reading it again and before I watch this for certain, it's been so long and I've forgotten so much. If I like a certain world setting I love re-reading books, although I don't think I've ever read one as much I've read the Silmarillion, which Is about every few years or so.

Yeah i am sure I have forgotten heaps but am wondering if it will bebetter watching it without re-reading it so I am more surprised and not sitting there going hey why did they change this and that.

That's understandable, I think I'm one of the few weirdos that likes know everything beforehand. I used to not really care but GoT and The Expanse I saw the start of the series having not read the books and I think it made it more suspenseful but then went ahead and read the rest of the series and whilst I still really enjoyed them it took the element of surprise out of it for the series I had already read the books. I haven't read Dune for decades, I remember it well enough to remember key points or the story arcs but not most of it. got plenty of time to decide anyway it's a December release isn't it? I think the most jarring thing for me is having the image of Kyle MacLachlan stuck in my head as Paul and he doesn't look anything like the new actor.

I found the book really weird. That's fair, I think I was 14 when I last read it and while it wasn't in my top ten I still enjoyed it at the time, but I might see it a little differently upon a re-read. I'll soon find out if my fondness has more to do with nostalgia. That's understandable, I think I'm one of the few weirdos that likes know everything beforehand.
