Pretty excited about Greedfall coming in September. I like that there is one specific main goal to find a cure. I'm hopeful for a great game and encouraged because there was a lot of improvement in story and combat with Technomancer. And it's releasing on Steam. Here's the story trailer that came out at E3.

Gameplay video:
Pausing during combat, magic, and ability to use different weapons is great. Combat looks similar to their other games. Same with the inventory. 5 companions to choose from and aligned with different factions. I like it.

I'm excited for this game. The idea of a 17th century setting where I get to use a foil against monsters? Sign me up. The only thing is the team isn't the greatest with animations, combat or narrative translation. But I'm willing to give a pass on certain things if the game as a whole works well.

I like the costumes. And it's not another open world which is a plus. They've been improving with each game. So looking forward to a good story to get lost in.

I want to be excited, but I have been less than impressed with their previous games.

I want to be excited, but I have been less than impressed with their previous games. What were you not impressed with in the earlier games?

I want to be excited, but I have been less than impressed with their previous games. What were you not impressed with in the earlier games? I played Mars: War Logs and found the story kinda, I dunno, shallow, I guess. The VA was just terrible, though I hear they redid a lot of it later in response to that criticism. Couldn't be bothered to check though. I tried playing Technomancer and didn't get very far. I found the controls terrible. I looked at Bound by Flame and that didn't interest me at all.

The controls are a bit clunky in all the games and the VA and he character representation needed to be a bit better. In Bound by Flame the companions reminded me a bit of some of the DA companions. Not that I minded seeing Morrigan's sister in Bound by Flames . Thought the combat in Technomancer was somewhat similar to The Witcher so I had more fun with it than Mars and Bound, it could be the skill set. There's a lot of backtracking in all the games which is annoying, hoping not so much in Greedfall. The end boss was much more fun in Technomancer than Bound by Flame which was not hard just way too long. I loved the music in Bound by Flame.
I see improvement in each game and enjoyed the stories and questing in Bound and Technomancer so I'm excited to play it and the story sounds interesting and good and they've seem to have better.

Bound by Flame may have been their best game to date actually. At least the combat was clicking there. Keep in mind this is a 40 man team, which is remarkable given the scope they're shooting for. That said, I'm waiting for reviews. I really need controls and combat to be better than their last games.

I think Technomancer was actually somewhat better, and I thought that even that was a valiant effort that more or less failed. All that said, what I've seen so far from Greedfall looks better than their previous titles, so I'm a tad more optimistic.

Super excited for Greedfall. The Devs have started a Dev blog on their site to talk about how they were inspired and what they are going for. I love the concept art for the costumes as well as Myazaki's films. "Countless books, movies and tv shows were studied by the whole team to create this new universe! Camille Lallement, Lead Cinematic Artist, also claims the team wanted to explore current issues, as well as some older ones that we may otherwise like to collectively forget. Key inspirations include the Miyazaki classic Princess Mononoke"Greedfall-devblog

Loving these webseries. They are emphasizing differences in the world state as you make choices, hoping cause that means multiple playthroughs to see all the paths

New gameplay video. Disappearing skill looks fun. Only a few weeks to play
